Background Investigation facilitates security clearance for a person

Background Investigation or background check is done to check for the criminal, commercial, employment and financial records. It is used to completely investigate potential government employees for security clearance. These background checks are used by employers in recent times to evaluate a job candidate's qualifications, character and fitness suited for the job offered. Identity check is also done to check whether the applicant is who he or she claims to be.
