Types of Criminal Searches
Instant Manual \ Database

Instant criminal products search for felonies, misdemeanors, traffic violations and incarcerations from data gathered from state agencies. This data is updated regularly. However, some data varies based on the product. This is offset with access to multiple instant criminal products.

Manual criminal reports are fulfilled by court researchers or databases searches. These reports can take from an hour to several days. Manual products offer the most thorough search of criminal history and include federal crimes, felonies, misdemeanors, sex offenses and incarcerations.

What is the difference between an instant and manual search?
An instant search yields real-time results of online criminal databases while a manual search inquires for a researcher to search physical records from government offices and/or state databases. While searching an instant database is faster, a manual search of official records provides a more detailed account of an individual's criminal history.

What is a felony?

A felony is the most serious of offenses and usually means a minimum of one year in prison.

What is a misdemeanor?

A misdemeanor is a lesser serious offense usually only requiring a maximum of one year in a county-level prison.
